Jamaica, New York
I awake to the cacophony,
Respirate the putrid smells,
Mingle amongst the throngs --
teeming with individuality
and humanity.
My self-same blisters --
as in the heat of the tropics --
open raw.
Naked, now,
rolling through
the filthy streets.
"Stir! Leap! Crash! HERE."
Laying exposed in the hot sun,
I crawl under a palm
to be healed.
