It's been a while since I've done anything so footloose as to drive two hours to a concert and two hours back in the same night. But, I found a cosmic partner in crime, and did it last night. Very intense. Check out the set list:
11/7/2006 Strand Theatre, York, PA
I: Jam > Feel Like a Stranger > She Belongs to Me > Crazy Fingers > Ramble On Rose > Fly Away > Bury Me Standing > Good Morning Little Schoolgirl > Weather Report Suite Prelude/Part 1 > Let It Grow
II: Big Iron@, Tuesday Blues@, When I Paint My Masterpiece@, Estimated Prophet > The Other One Jam > The Wheel > Stuff > Wharf Rat > Throwing Stones
E: Touch of Grey
I got the "all access" backstage pass and had the fun of chatting with friends before the show, at the set break, and after the show -- and the free bottled water rocked. :) At the end of the night, my astrologer pontificated about universal truths next to Bob. Dennis was all like, "Look at this philosopher! If my philosophy professors had looked like that, then I would have been a major!" (She always gets the masculine attention.)
Well worth the trip. Make new friends and keep the old, I say. . .
