I cannot believe that I actually failed to post this, but as of November 17th I am DIVORCED and I officially get to resume use of my previous name. (I think the term 'maiden name' is somehow condescending.) The question remains: Will anyone be able to say or spell my last name correctly?

I'm not sure about condescension.
Accuracy might be in question, however, given the existance of those wee bairns. They, of course, will now have to introduce their mom as Ms. Macka-lacka-hi-macka-heidy-ho.
